Improved Distribution Flow

In this update, we have overhauled how fund managers can distribute cash returns to their investors. The improved distribution flow automates distribution calculations, generates branded statements and emails, and generates bank payment files, helping fund managers reduce errors and save significant time.

Fund managers using the admin app can now quickly draft a distribution by entering simple fund-level information like the distribution period, date of payment, and taxable and non-taxable amounts. Fund managers can also customise the commentary that appears on the investor statements.

After entering these details, Caruso’s software automatically calculates the apportionment for each investor based on daily holdings (and any holding movements) during the period, fund structure, and applicable tax rates. The fund manager then receives a draft distribution with a rich breakdown of each investor within that fund, their apportioned distribution amount, the underlying calculations applied any related or outstanding compliance information.

When a fund manager is ready to confirm a distribution, Caruso will automatically generate a distribution statement for each investor, send a copy of the statement to each investor, add a copy of the statement to the investor portal and generate a bank payment file.

It’s a complete game changer for fund management finance teams.
